新澤西州凱尼沃思 & 馬裏蘭州羅克威爾 -默克公司（Merck，在美國與加拿大以外稱MSD）與臨床階段的私營生物制藥公司OncoImmune今日宣布，雙方已達成最終協議：默克將通過壹家子公司以4.25億美元現金收購OncoImmune全部流通股。此外，OncoImmune的股東未來還可獲得基於銷售額的裏程碑付款以及監管裏程碑付款。OncoImmune近期公布了其首個候選藥物CD24Fc治療重度及危重型COVID-19的III期研究中期積極結果。

關於SAC-COVID 3期臨床試驗
SAC-COVID 3期臨床試驗（NCT04317040）是壹項隨機，雙盲，安慰劑對照試驗，旨在評估CD24Fc治療住院的、需要氧氣支持（含普通氧療、高流量氧療及機械通氣）的住院COVID-19患者的安全性和有效性。受試者被隨機分為兩組，治療組在第1天接受標準治療並通過靜脈輸註單劑量CD24Fc，安慰劑組在第1天接受標準治療加安慰劑。這項多中心的3期臨床試驗於2020年4月開始，已有243名患者入組，並於2020年9月停止招募。
