Steve Chen is a legal and intellectual property executive with more than 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry, encompassing corporate governance, business development transactions, intellectual property, clinical and regulatory matters, and legal compliance. Before joining OncoC4, Steve served as General Counsel of HiFiBiO Therapeutics and Ensem Therapeutics, where he advised executive leadership on strategic transactions, global IP strategy, clinical development, regulatory compliance, financings, and corporate governance.

Earlier in his career, Steve was a senior patent attorney at DSM Nutritional Products, practiced law at Jones Day LLP, and worked as a scientist at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. He holds a PhD degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of Maryland, and a juris doctorate from Fordham University School of Law. Steve is also a registered U.S. patent attorney.
